On October 12th the STGC Group's 4th Annual Southern Turkey Golf Classic in benefit of
Nicholas House went fantastically well with more golfers and more funds raised than ever!

3X3 Basketball Tournament A Slam Dunk

Thank you to Emory's IFC & ISC for hosting a 3X3 Basketball Tournament at the Emory campus gym. A big thank you to Bobby Garoon who hosted this first annual benefit for Nicholas House. It was a big success!!!

A special thank you to Formwell Personal Fitness Training, an Atlanta based personal training studio, which featured Nicholas House as a beneficiary in its second annual Train Your Trainer Day. The outcome was a huge success for Nicholas House, as Formwell's clients again opened their pockets for a good cause. Formwell's annual 'Train the Trainer' fundraiser is a silent auction, where its clients to have the right to bid on one of two 30 minute training sessions with their trainer.

| B-GLAD Golf Group delivered so much for Nicholas House and its resident families to be thankful for. The Southern Turkey Golf Classic was held in September and Nicholas House was the recipient of the dollars that were raised. The annual charity golf tournament is put on by five incredible young men (Derrick Bell, Craig Glee, Cedric Lockhart, Eric Anders, and Kevin Duck) who work to make a difference by giving back. A million thanks to all who participated, and congratulations to our very own Board member Michael Wainscott whose team placed 3rd in the tournament! |

Nicholas House Inc. thanks the Hoops DeKalb-Atlanta Charity Basketball Tournament. Not only was Nicholas House a beneficiary of the proceeds from the event, but more importantly we thank the sponsors, the teams who competed, The "Ultimate Entertainer" Usher Raymond, Radio One’s FM stations 102.5, 97.5, 107.9 and Dekalb County Public Television for letting us share our story and those who coordinated and participated in the effort to help to raise awareness on the issues of homelessness in Atlanta

In August, Nicholas House children received an unexpected Afterschool program event when nationally renowned children’s author Ellen Sabin came for a book reading and autograph signing. The Giving Book: Open the Door to a Lifetime of Giving is the 2005 Carol D. Reiser Book Award presented by the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council. Ellen generously gave the $1,000 award to Nicholas House.
A special thanks to the Timberland Company for introducing us to Ellen and providing each Nicholas House child with their very own book.
